The State Duma announced the principles of pension indexation from February 1 and April 1, 2026

In 2026, pensions will be indexed twice — from February 1 and April 1, with the second adjustment being higher than the inflation rate. This was announced on September 9 by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"Next year, according to the law, it is planned to index [the insurance pension] on February 1 to the level of actual inflation and on April 1, depending on the budget of the Social Fund. <...> Social pensions are indexed on April 1," he told TASS.
