The Ministry of Education has set a regulated time for studying each subject.
The Ministry of Education has approved the standard time that should be allocated by schools to master each discipline. This was announced on September 9 by the head of the department Sergey Kravtsov.
The Minister noted that a certain amount of time has been allocated for studying each subject and after-school planning has been developed. Schools have been offered about 30 standard schedules, which they can use as a basis or refine according to their needs.
Thus, high school students have more time to study the history of Russia. There are 18 lessons for studying the Great Patriotic War (WWII).
"Previously, history lessons were conducted in schools in different ways. In particular, there were only six lessons for studying the Great Patriotic War," the minister said in an interview with RIA Novosti during the Eastern Economic Forum.
The head of the Fair Russia — For Truth party, Sergei Mironov, announced on September 7 that the party would submit to the State Duma in the fall a bill to abolish homework for schoolchildren on weekends. He also added that the solution of issues related to the quality of homework and the proper distribution of the workload is the responsibility of teachers. Therefore, according to the faction, it is necessary not only to facilitate their work, but also to provide them with decent pay — at least 200% of the average salary for one rate.
