In the Moscow region, newborns are increasingly called by Old Slavic names. This was announced on September 8 by Andrei Kiryukhin, Minister of Social Development of the Moscow region.

"There is a trend towards Old Slavic names in the region now. Now they are increasingly found among the names for newborns. So for boys, parents are increasingly choosing names — Belomir, Borislav, Dobrynya, Svyatogor, Tikhomir. In the names for girls, we find such as Bogdana, Darina, Zabava, Lada, Miroslava," he is quoted as saying on the portal of the Ministry of Social Development of the region.

It is specified that in the Moscow region, parents can issue a child's birth certificate directly at the hospital. Specialists come to the ward, which makes the registration process as convenient as possible and saves time in the first days after the baby is born.

On August 29, the Level Group company shared the result of a survey, according to which almost every second Russian woman is ready to give up maternity leave to her spouse for the sake of career growth. However, according to the results of the study, one in five men (19%) is skeptical about such an idea, and another 35% consider this option only in extreme cases. 40% of respondents are neutral about going on maternity leave instead of their spouse, and another 6% fully supported this proposal.
