Seven people died in traffic accidents on the roads of the Irkutsk region in the first week of autumn. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

In total, from September 1 to September 7, 49 accidents with victims were recorded in the Angara region. Seven people were killed in them, and 66 more people, including nine children, were injured in various degrees of severity.

According to IA IrkutskMedia, the main causes of accidents were driving into the oncoming lane, speeding, non-compliance with the order of passage, violation of the rules of passage of a pedestrian crossing.

In addition, in four cases, drunk motorists became involved in the accident, 13 people did not have a driver's license. In 18 cases, motorists did not have a CTP policy. Two accidents were accompanied by the abandonment of the place of its commission.

On September 5, in the village of Verenka in the Zalara district of the Angara region, a Ural motorcycle crashed into an animal and overturned. A 57-year-old woman who was in a wheelchair was killed, and the motorcyclist himself was hospitalized. The traffic police did not specify which animal the Ural encountered.

The day before, a Toyota LiteAce was involved in an accident on the Goloustnensky highway. She flew off the roadway into a ditch and overturned. As a result, two men were killed, and another person was taken to the hospital.
