The restoration of the wooden log house of the Topleninov brothers is coming to an end

The restoration of the wooden log house of the Topleninov brothers in Mansurovsky Lane in Moscow is nearing completion. This was reported on the website of the Moscow City Hall on Monday, September 8.

According to Alexey Yemelyanov, head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, this monument is known as the "house of the Master," described by Mikhail Bulgakov in his novel, Moscow 24 writes. The writer often visited his friends the Topleninovs here. A comprehensive restoration is currently underway: the brickwork of the basement has already been restored, the rotten crowns and logs of the log house have been replaced, and the roof structure has been strengthened. The work was carried out by hanging, which made it possible to preserve the historical appearance of the building. The project is planned to be completed in 2026, writes NSN.

The mansion will also have a staircase to the ground floor, tiled stoves, a dormer window, chimneys and facade decorative elements in order. The building, designed in an eclectic style with elements of neoclassicism, has retained its original architectural details. kp.ru .

The house was built in the 17th century and has changed many owners. In the 1920s, brothers Vladimir and Sergey Topleninov lived here, and Bulgakov often visited them. It was this house that formed the basis for the description of the Master's dwelling: the dimensions of the rooms, the furnace and even the basement coincided with reality, as the writer's wife Elena Bulgakova wrote in her diaries, the Moscow city News agency reports.

At the end of August, Sobyanin announced the exhibition "Restoration". Russian manufacturers will present more than 100 domestic solutions and technologies for the preservation of architectural monuments.
