The IDF called for the blocking of villages in Jerusalem after the attack on the bus

On September 8, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, ordered the complete closure and blockade of two villages from which the two terrorists who attacked the bus in Jerusalem arrived.

"We are here after a very serious attack. I ordered the complete closure of the area from which the terrorists came," The Times of Israel newspaper quoted Zamir as saying.

According to the General Security Service (SHABAK), the attackers on the bus with Israelis in Jerusalem were 21-year-old Mohammad Taha and 20-year-old Muthanna Amro, who lived in the Binyamin area of the West Bank.

The shooting in Jerusalem became known earlier that day. According to police, both attackers have already been eliminated. Later, The Times of Israel reported that the death toll from the terrorist attack had risen to five people. In addition, according to The Jerusalem Post, the number of injured in the incident increased to 22 people. The Russian Embassy in Israel reported that there were no Russians among the victims.
