The Jilin University — Ceres-1 (Yao-15) launch vehicle was launched from Jiuquan Cosmodrome in northwestern China, putting three satellites into orbit. This was reported on September 8 by the China Daily newspaper.

"The rocket was developed by Beijing Galactic Energy, and its president Liu Jianshe, a graduate of Jilin University, acted as the technical director and chief commander of the model," the material says.

According to sources, this rocket is considered one of the most economical and competitive small launch vehicles in the global commercial launch market.

"We will continue to improve the Ceres series rockets, improve product quality control, and enhance multiple launch capabilities to promote the development of China's commercial space industry," said Liu Jianshe, president of Beijing Galactic Energy and a graduate of Jilin University.

On September 2, it was reported that researchers from Beijing have created a washing machine that can work in space conditions. The developers said that the next step will be to create a working prototype in which they can increase the efficiency of the machine by increasing its load capacity and further reducing water consumption.
