Mercedes-Benz has revealed a competitor to the new BMW iX3
Mercedes-Benz presented a new GLC crossover with EQ Technology at the Munich Motor Show, the brand's press service shared details about the model. The SUV will replace the poorly selling EQC and become a competitor to the BMW iX3 — both electric models will go on sale in 2026.
A special feature of the exterior of the Mercedes-Benz GLC is a large illuminated radiator grille, which consists of 942 diodes with the ability to animate the pattern. The headlights and lanterns have built-in elements in the form of three-pointed stars. The cabin has a large seamless screen with a diagonal of 99.3 cm (39.1 inches) with a zonal dimming function, it will be offered in top-end trim levels.

The list of options will also include steerable rear wheels and suspension with pneumatic elements and adaptive shock absorbers: electronic systems are able to independently adjust its settings, receiving information from the front-running Mercedes-Benz and navigation.
The novelty debuted in the flagship 400 4Matic modification with an all-wheel drive twin-engine system with a capacity of 489 hp, which is 20 hp more than the BMW iX3. At the same time, the GLC's range on a single battery charge is almost 100 km less than that of its competitor, and is 713 km (according to the WLTP cycle). A battery with a capacity of 94 kW/h can receive energy for an additional 300 km in a 10-minute charging session.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Belarusian crossover Belgee X50 for the first time in history topped the sales rating in the segment of foreign cars on the Russian car market.
