In Russia, as of mid-summer of this year, 138.5 thousand electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids were registered. This was reported on September 8 by the analytical agency Autostat.

More than half (52.9%) of this number are plug-in hybrids or plug-in hybrids. Such machines make it possible to use not only energy recovery systems during movement or internal combustion engines for charging batteries, but also external power sources (outdoor terminals or household outlets). Examples of models with such a power plant are Lixiang L7, Aito M5 and Toyota Prius.

The remaining 47.1% is accounted for by pure electric vehicles such as the Nissan Leaf, Volkswagen ID.4, Audi e-tron, Porsche Taycan, Moskvich 3e, Tesla and Zeekr models. Analysts noted that a year ago, electric vehicles dominated this fleet — as of July 1, 2024, their share was 56.2%.

In the segment of electric cars and hybrids, Lixiang is the leader in terms of fleet volume with a share of 23.7% of the total volume. This figure is about half that of Nissan (12.6%). Voyah (11.5%) and Zeekr (9.1%) are next in the ranking, with Tesla completing the top five (5.1%).

On September 3, it was reported that, as First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said, in Russia by 2030, according to the objectives of the federal project, it is planned to produce over 183 thousand electric vehicles and cars with a sequential hybrid power plant.
