In Russia, 23 thousand Lada cars are being recalled for the installation of an emergency call system control unit (SVEOS). This was announced by Rosstandart on September 8.

The recall covers over 14,000 Lada Niva Travel SUVs sold between October 2021 and November 2023, and 8,912 Niva Legend SUVs sold from October 31, 2021 to May 2, 2024.

It is stated that a more modern "Niva" needs to be equipped with an SVEOS unit. In addition, a classic SUV also needs to install a control unit for an inflatable airbag system.

All work within the recall campaigns will be free for car owners. Dealers will inform them about the recall.

Earlier, on August 19, it was reported that Omoda was recalling C7 crossovers in Russia. On cars, it is required to replace the plastic steering wheel cover assembly with the driver's front airbag.

On July 25, Kia Russia and CIS announced a recall of almost 79.9 thousand Kia Sportage vehicles sold between 2010 and 2015. The reason for the recall was the need to replace the multi-fuse of the HECU electronic hydraulic control unit in order to reduce the nominal value for better circuit protection.
