In the first seven months of the year, over 2,000 robotic surgeries were performed in the capital's cancer centers. Last year's figure has already been reached, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the MAX messenger.

According to him, patients recover faster after such interventions. Such operations are distinguished by "jewelry precision and minimal injury," Sobyanin stressed.

He added that providing cancer care in the capital is becoming safer and more technologically advanced.

Patients can receive surgical care using innovative global techniques at MMCC "Kommunarka", MGOB No. 62, Oncological Center No. 1 of the S.S. Yudin State Clinical Hospital, MMSC named after S.P. Botkin and MSCC named after A.S. Loginov.

In May, Sobyanin said that minimally invasive surgery was developing in the capital. Such interventions do not require long-term rehabilitation. Under the new format of medical care, a network of specialized short-stay hospitals has been created on the basis of city hospitals. Last year, they performed over 170,000 operations in eight profiles.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
