Auto expert called unsuccessful Mazda models on the "secondary market"
Despite the fact that Mazda cars are traditionally perceived as reliable, in its history there are models with not the best reputation. There are several models on the Russian secondary market that it is better to refuse to buy, said auto expert Alexander Kovalev.
So, the expert called the Mazda 6 sedan of the second generation (GH), which was produced from 2007 to 2012 and went through more than 10 recall campaigns, one of the most controversial projects of the company.
"The owners complained en masse about the weak corrosion protection of the body, unreliable suspension and fuel equipment. Today, such cars can be found at a very low price, but the risk of encountering a whole set of problems outweighs the benefits of the purchase," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted Kovalev as saying on September 8.
The expert called Mazda RX-7 and RX-8 sports cars with rotary engines a dubious choice for everyday trips. These engines are characterized by high fuel consumption, rapid wear and difficult maintenance. Kovalev also drew attention to the unreliability of the Mazda CX-7 crossover — the turbo engine tends to burn oil, the air conditioner compressor often fails, and the electrical component suffers from chronic failures.
On August 27, Avtoexpert listed Mitsubishi models on the secondary car market in Russia, the purchase of which may turn into problems for the new owner.
Earlier, on August 18, Kovalev said that there are frankly unsuccessful cars in the Toyota model range, one of them is the brand's first electric car, the bZ4x.
