Lavrov reported on Russia's unwillingness to take revenge on former Western partners
Russia does not want to take revenge on anyone, does not alienate former Western partners, but will take into account their actions in the past. This was announced on August 8 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting with MGIMO students.
"We have no desire to take revenge on anyone, to take out our anger on anyone. <...> We are not going to ignore anyone. <...> And, of course, we will take into account that they have shown their unreliability by running away at the command of their political leaders," Lavrov said.
According to him, Russia does not want to build any walls and is ready for dialogue with everyone, but on condition of an equal dialogue. In addition, the minister noted that some "marginals" in the West are still hatching plans for the "collapse" of Russia.
"After the start of the special military operation, they predicted the collapse of the economy, complete isolation, and the transformation of the country and its leadership into pariahs," Lavrov said.
He stressed that none of this had happened, but the statistics show the opposite.
On July 22, Lavrov pointed to the frenzy of European countries towards Russia. According to him, together the states form part of the "international community." The diplomat stressed that Europe strongly suggests to its peoples that the Russian Federation is an eternal enemy and an existential threat.
