Russia has delivered a second shipment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan using a special aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. This was announced on September 8 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Telegram channel.
"The IL-76 aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered more than 20 tons of humanitarian cargo to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan," the publication says.
Tents and blankets have also been handed over to the local population affected by the earthquake. Earlier, Russia sent 20 tons of food products to the country.
On September 5, the Russian Federation sent a plane with humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. It is specified that the first batch of food was sent on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin and on behalf of the government of the country.
Earlier, on September 4, an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded in Afghanistan. It was clarified that the seismic event was located at a depth of 10 km. At the same time, the epicenter of the tremors was located at a distance of 41 km northeast of the city of Jalalabad with a population of about 200 thousand people.
On September 2, it was reported that a magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred near the city of Jalalabad in Afghanistan.
