"European countries are taking a rather rabid position, Russian—speaking," the Kremlin spokesman said.

He recalled the words of the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who called for turning Ukraine into a "steel hedgehog."

"If we talk about the cliches of the Cold War, this is rabid European militarism. This position does not contribute, but on the contrary complicates the settlement process," Peskov stressed in an interview with TASS.
