- A new school will be built on the territory of the former CIE industrial zone in Moscow.
The former industrial zone of the Computer Science and Electronics Center in the Kryukovo district in Zelenograd is being transformed into a modern residential area. This was announced on September 6 by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
He recalled that for many years this territory had spoiled the appearance of one of the most ecologically clean districts of the capital. A few years ago, construction of housing, social and business facilities began on the 75-hectare site. According to the mayor, residential buildings with an area of 118 thousand square meters, a shopping and logistics complex for 700 jobs and a kindergarten with a swimming pool designed for 250 children have already been commissioned, the Moscow City News agency reports.
Sobyanin added that a 550-seat school with laboratories, a media library and gyms is being built nearby. There are also plans to build another educational complex with 800 places. In addition, lawns, flower beds, trees and shrubs will be planted on the territory of the former industrial zone, writes RT. The total area of landscaping will be more than 4 hectares, Moscow 24 notes.
