Maxim Liksutov, head of the Department of Transport, noted at the parade that an average of 790,000 passengers use the tram on weekdays. In the next five years, their number may grow to 1.2 million due to an increase in the population and the development of the tram network. By the end of this year, three unmanned trams will be on the line in the capital. The first such train is already running on route No. 10 from Shchukinskaya metro station. Next year, 15 more trains will be added, and by 2030 it is planned to transfer two thirds of the tram fleet to autopilot. At the same time, in the coming years, the wagons will continue to operate under the supervision of drivers.

On Chistye Prudy, photo zones near the exposed trams, treats from the field kitchen and a concert program were prepared for the guests of the parade, the Moscow City News agency reports.
