There is a critical shortage of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This is reported by the newspaper Le Figaro with reference to the Ukrainian units.

"There are no more infantry. Now it's not a line of defense, but just positions with two or three soldiers who can be 100-200 m from each other," the newspaper quoted an anonymous officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces assault brigade as saying.

According to the source of the publication, even if the Ukrainian militants are injured, they are not evacuated from the combat zone for months, but supplies are delivered using drones.

On August 21, Pavel Feldman, Candidate of Political Sciences, professor at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, spoke about the risk of increased losses in the Armed Forces due to a reduction in American aid. He also concluded that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue to experience a shortage of resources until the end of the conflict.
