Scammers have developed a new scheme for hacking "Public Services"
Scammers have come up with a new scheme to gain access to the personal accounts of Russians on the Gosuslugi portal. Now the attackers are calling citizens under the guise of university staff and offering to update their education data, they reported on September 7.
As noted by RIA Novosti, in order to confirm the information, the victim is asked to provide a text message code from Gosuslug. After that, the scammers get full access to the account. The message itself contains a warning that only scammers can request the code, but many people still call it.
Earlier, on February 6, it was reported that scammers began using fake work chats and a fake Gosuslug bot on Telegram. Under the guise of the head of the company, users are asked to confirm their data by offering to click on the link and enter their phone number. After activating the bot, an SMS message arrives on the phone, and by handing it over to the attackers, the person actually gives them access to his account.
