Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechaev considers dangerous statements by some Western countries about preparations for an imaginary war with Russia. He stated this on September 6 at a commemorative event in Schloss Holt-Stuckenbrock, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
"We do not accept militarization, the preparation of some Western countries for war with Russia. We hear such statements from time to time. This, of course, does not please us and, in our opinion, is extremely dangerous," the TASS news agency quoted the ambassador as saying.
He also expressed hope for the resumption of friendly Russian-German relations.
Nechaev noted that the citizens of the Russian Federation are also calling for peace between Western countries and Russia.
