Russian President Vladimir Putin and US leader Donald Trump can prevent a possible World War III, just as Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, 32nd American President Franklin Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill ended World War II from 1940 to 1945. This was announced on September 6 by Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), on the social network X.

"Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill won the Second World War. Putin and Trump will prevent World War III," he said.

On September 5, adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov said that Putin and Trump had agreed to bring the positions of the two countries closer. Also, on August 22, the Russian president pointed to the "light at the end of the tunnel" in Russian-American relations after Trump's return to the White House.

February 4 marked the 80th anniversary of the start of the conference of Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill in Yalta, Crimea. The Livadia Palace, restored after the German occupation, was chosen for negotiations.
