The delivery of Taurus missiles to Ukraine will become a new stage in relations between Russia and Germany

Germany's possible delivery of long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine will mean a "new quality" of Russian-German relations. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechaev.

"If such deliveries of long—range weapons are carried out, it will be a new quality of our bilateral relations, and this cannot but be known in Germany," the diplomat stressed, answering a question from a TASS correspondent.

According to him, only the German military will be able to control the weapons systems, which "will be a completely different approach."

Nechaev noted that so far the German government is trying to avoid specific answers to the question of the transfer of missiles.

"There is no readiness for this [delivery of Taurus] yet," he added.
