Residents of St. Petersburg complained of a chemical odor in the air
On September 6, residents of four districts of St. Petersburg noted a strong chemical odor in the air. Izvestia learned about the causes of the phenomenon on the same day.
"Due to the fact that there is no wind, waste products of the city accumulate on the street. <...> There are no excess pollution measurements yet," said the dispatcher of the mobile environmental service of the city.
Earlier, residents of the Central, Nevsky, Primorsky and Kolpinsky districts noticed a smell similar to bleach.
