CBS reported on Biden's decision to build a presidential library
Former US President Joe Biden has decided to build his presidential library in Delaware. This was reported on September 6 by the CBS News channel, citing sources.
"The project will serve as a vibrant and enduring space where history, learning, and civic leadership come together, inspiring future generations to lead with purpose, serve their communities, and strengthen our nation," the publication says.
The former US president also decided to involve a group of former assistants, friends and political allies who are tasked with managing the museum and archive project. Among them are former Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Biden's adviser and close associate Steve Richetti. The fundraising guide will be led by Rufus Gifford, an expert in the field.
Earlier, on September 5, it was reported that the monument to the founder of the USSR, Vladimir Lenin, in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, would be moved to another location, and a flagpole would be installed at its location. The municipality added that such a step was taken in order to improve the overall "architectural and aesthetic appearance of the city," citing a number of Russian cities as an example, and also urged not to politicize the relocation of the monument.
