"In order for the diet to benefit, it is important to maintain a balance: half of the plate is occupied by vegetables (some raw, some cooked), a quarter — protein products (fish, poultry, eggs, legumes), another quarter — complex carbohydrates (cereals and root vegetables). It is better to use fruits as a snack," the expert said.
According to the doctor, it is better to introduce foods heavy for the stomach, such as apples, pears, plums, legumes, onions, garlic, gradually into the diet.
She also noted that seasonal products help to make up for the deficiency of vitamins and trace elements. For example, to replenish vitamin C, the specialist recommended eating sea buckthorn, cranberries, apples and cabbage. And carrots, pumpkins, sweet peppers are a good source of beta-carotene. Beetroot and greens are rich in folate and magnesium, and you can make up for the lack of potassium and fiber with the help of apples and pears.
Smirnova noted that the menu for autumn should be prepared competently, paying attention to the benefits, variety and combination of products.
