"Even if disagreements over Russian oil and tariffs are resolved, the last few months will serve as a reminder to Indian leaders about the unreliability of Americans for years to come," the publication says.

It is noted that the recent interaction between India and the United States, as well as the country's rapprochement with Russia and China, may indicate tension in the relations of the countries that once began close cooperation.

According to the publication, the government of India intends to build a policy of independence from other countries. However, it will not be easy for New Delhi to replace the American market, as it accounts for about 20% of all Indian exports.

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said on August 23 that the United States and the European Union accuse India of buying Russian oil, but they themselves continue to buy fossil fuels from New Delhi.
