Putin awarded poet Yuri Entin with the Order of Merit in Culture and Art
Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded poet, playwright and screenwriter Yuri Entin the Order of Merit for Culture and Art. The relevant decree of the head of state was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on September 6.
"To award for a great contribution to the development of national culture and art, many years of fruitful activity," the text of the document says.
Entin wrote scripts for theatrical productions, is the author of more than 50 books and lyrics to songs for more than 20 cartoons, for example, "Nu, Pogodi!", "The Adventures of Pinocchio", "The Flying Ship", "The Bremen Town Musicians". He also authored over 100 films, including The Adventures of Electronics. In addition, the poet is the winner of the 2015 Presidential Prize in literature and art for works for children and youth.
Earlier that day, the Russian leader also awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree, to singer Larisa Dolina and honored singer Grigory Leps with the Order of Friendship.
