In the Tugulymsky district of the Sverdlovsk region, five people were injured in a collision between a car and a truck on the Yekaterinburg–Tyumen highway. This was reported on September 6 in the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the region.

It is noted that the 25-year-old driver of the Lada Vesta car could not maintain a safe distance to the Mercedes truck moving ahead and collided.

"As a result of the accident, the driver of the car, as well as passengers, a 25-year-old friend, a 21—year-old bride and the parents of a friend, 47 and 54 years old, were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity in the Tugulymsky district medical facility," the department's Telegram channel says.

Also, the driver of the car will be examined for intoxication. It was established that the truck driver's intoxication test showed a negative result. Currently, police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier that day, in the Zalarinsky district of the Irkutsk region, one person died in a motorcycle accident. The woman died at the scene, and the driver was hospitalized with injuries.
