A socially active citizen aged 30-70 years who has a permanent job — such a portrait of the average victim of telephone fraud was compiled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Currently, this is a socially active citizen aged 30-70 years who has a permanent job," TASS quoted a statement from the department's press service on September 6.

It is noted that an active lifestyle, a loyal attitude to the state, financial literacy, savings and a positive credit history are also characteristic features.

Earlier that day, the Interior Ministry warned about a fraudulent mailing allegedly from the Pension Fund. According to the agency, the fraudulent messages write about the "last reminder" from the Pension Fund to join the Telegram channel by following the link. The attackers write that it contains all the necessary information on increasing pensions or receiving additional bonuses for pensioners.
