- The Polish Foreign Ministry said it was important for Ukraine to preserve its borders to protect them.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Ukraine should remain within the borders that it can protect itself. This became known on September 5 on the TV channel TVP Info.
"I believe that Ukraine should remain within the borders that it can protect and have freedom of integration with the West," Sikorski said.
It is noted that Poland had previously promoted the idea that Ukraine should remain within the borders of 1991.
Earlier, on September 4, Prime Minister of the Republic Donald Tusk ruled out sending Polish troops to Ukraine after the end of the conflict. He added that Poland is already fulfilling the important task of providing logistical military support to Ukraine by the West.
