The Vostok group of troops destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces strongholds in the SVO zone.

Motorized rifle units of the Vostok group of forces continue their offensive in the Dnipropetrovsk region, destroying strongholds and firing points of Ukrainian formations. This was announced on September 6 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, the attack was accompanied by artillery fire support and FPV drone strikes.

It is noted that the Ukrainian formations leave weapons and ammunition behind during the retreat. The trophies include machine guns, grenades, and American—made communications equipment.

"During the liquidation, we entered the stronghold when they [the militants] were gone. We checked everything and, of course, found a 5.56 mm caliber weapon. After that, they brought him to our location," said the commander of the assault group with the call sign Rez.

Earlier, on September 5, the Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of the Markovo settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). It was clarified that the manpower and equipment of five mechanized, airmobile, amphibious assault, mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as a marine brigade, two air defense brigades and a National Guard brigade were defeated.
