In Pakistan, 884 people died as a result of flooding in two months. This was reported on September 5 by Xinhua news Agency, citing the National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan (NDMA).

"The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) said that at least 884 people have died, 1,182 have been injured, 9,363 houses have been destroyed and 6,180 cattle have died since the beginning of heavy rains and floods," the publication said.

It is noted that due to natural disasters, administrative measures have been postponed.

The agency added that the flood affected more than 4 million people.

Earlier, on September 2, it was reported that 33 people died as a result of heavy monsoon rains. The floods affected millions of people in the region and became the largest in the history of Punjab province. According to the Punjab Department of Emergency Management, eight people were injured from August 23 to 31. 506 humanitarian camps were set up for the victims, 760,000 people and 516,000 animals were evacuated.
