Junior Sergeant Lyadov uncovered a camouflaged mortar crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Private Ivan Kuka, as a driver, was loading ammunition into the Msta-S self-propelled artillery system (ACS) when gunners of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) opened fire on the positions of his crew. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Saturday, September 6, told about the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.

Realizing the need to preserve the equipment, Cook started the self-propelled gun and sent it away from the firing zone. After moving the installation to a backup position, the private noticed an FPV drone approaching him in the air. Kuka left the ACS and aimed at the drone with a standard weapon. With an accurate shot, the drone was shot down and detonated upon falling, without causing damage to the artillery piece and personnel.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and professionalism of Junior Sergeant Danil Lyadov, who led the calculation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

During the artillery shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lyadov conducted aerial reconnaissance using a drone and discovered a camouflaged enemy mortar crew. The junior sergeant concluded that the enemy was planning to open mortar fire on the advancing units of the Russian Armed Forces. Lyadov determined the exact coordinates of the location of the AFU calculation and transmitted the data to the Russian gunners. The enemy's crew was destroyed by targeted fire.

Earlier, on September 5, the department told how Second Lieutenant Alexander Fadeev commanded the calculation of a self-propelled artillery installation and was given the task of inflicting fire damage on the defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Prior to that, on September 4, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Guard Corporal Sergei Klotsky was in the firing position of the 2S19 Msta-S howitzer and was calculating the coordinates of the AFU stronghold when he noticed an approaching swarm of enemy FPV drones in the sky.
