A rally against tougher penalties for SOCH began on Independence Square.

A rally has begun in Kiev on Independence Square against the law on increasing penalties for unauthorized abandonment of military units. This was reported on September 5 by the newspaper "Страна.иа ".

"The participants of the action insist on the need to adopt a law on the military ombudsman as a tool to protect the rights of military personnel and urge the authorities to abandon the practice of "tightening the screws" in the army," the Telegram channel says.

According to the organizers, the new legislative initiatives will actually exclude the possibility of transferring to other units, the military will be forced to return to the same conditions from where they left. In addition, the protesters claim that the bill will limit the powers of the courts in terms of commuting sentences for disobedience.
