The Interior Ministry warned about fraudulent mailing allegedly from the Pension Fund

The scammers began sending messages to pensioners with instructions on how to increase their pensions, and the messages came under the guise of notifications from the Pension Fund. This was reported on September 5 in the Telegram channel of the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to the agency, the fraudulent messages write about the "last reminder" from the Pension Fund to join the Telegram channel by following the link. The attackers write that it contains all the necessary information on increasing pensions or receiving additional bonuses for pensioners.

The ministry reminds that starting from January 1, 2023, the Pension Fund of Russia and the Social Insurance Fund were merged into the Social Fund of Russia.
