Former deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor Mitvol asked for pardon

Oleg Mitvol, the former deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor, asked for a pardon, having previously been sentenced to 4.5 years for embezzlement during the construction of the metro in Krasnoyarsk. This was reported on September 5 by the RIA Novosti news agency with reference to the case file.

"The defense provided a response to the request received from the pardon commission, <...> according to which the request for pardon was considered at a meeting of the commission and a decision was made to submit to the President of the Russian Federation an appropriate proposal on the application of the act of pardon to the convicted person," the document says.
