Harvard University professor Oleg Itshoki and former Archimandrite Sergei Govorun were added to the register of foreign agents in Russia. This follows from the updated list of the Ministry of Justice, published on the agency's website on September 5.

"Yitzhoki disseminated false information about the decisions taken by the public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies. He opposed the special military operation in Ukraine," the report says.

The speaker also disseminated false information about the Russian authorities, as well as about the Russian Orthodox Church, follows from the justification of the Ministry of Justice.

Activist Anna Stepanova, blogger Vladimir Smolin, the political network project Om TV and the Internet resource Kompromat 1 have also joined the register.

Earlier, on August 29, publicist Anatoly Nesmian (listed as an extremist and terrorist by Rosfinmonitoring), also known under the pseudonym El Murid, was added to the register of foreign agents. It was clarified that he disseminated false information about the decisions of the Russian authorities, formed a negative image of the Russian army and opposed a special operation in Ukraine.
