In the city of Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod region, a teenager accused of murdering his mother with a hammer was taken into custody. This was reported on September 5 on the website of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

According to investigators, in August, a young man, while in an apartment building on Novaya Street, struck his mother with a hammer on the head with a hammer, after which he disappeared. The woman died at the scene from her injuries. The body of the deceased was discovered by her brother two weeks later. He came to check on a woman who had not answered the phone for a long time.

"Upon the discovery of a woman's body with signs of violent death, a criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder")," the department said.
