Putin: Russian budget expenditures continue to grow

On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an increase in budget expenditures, including for infrastructure development, education, defense and special military operations.

Putin noted that the increase in costs is due to the need to finance infrastructure projects, including work in the Far East, which require significant investments.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on August 27 that a balanced budget would become the basis for the Central Bank of Russia to ease monetary policy.
