Yuri Trutnev, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum, said that 283 agreements totaling 6.04 trillion rubles were signed at the WEF-2025.
"As of now, 283 agreements have been signed totaling 6.04 trillion rubles," Trutnev said at a press conference.
He also added that this amount significantly exceeds the figures of the previous forum. Trutnev stressed that following the results of the X Eastern Economic Forum, about three thousand investment projects worth 10.6 trillion rubles were initiated, of which 5.1 trillion rubles have already been invested.
"7.3 thousand people took part, including 1,418 media representatives, 14 heads of the diplomatic corps," Trutnev said.
On the same day, the Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Sonsai Siphandon, stated that the WEF contributes to improving the quality of life of people both in Russia and in the Asia-Pacific region (APR). He also pointed out that the meetings at the forum demonstrate Russia's leading role in promoting international cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats. According to him, this concerns cooperation in the political and economic spheres, as well as the introduction of new technologies and scientific developments.
The jubilee Eastern Economic Forum is taking place on September 3-6 at the Far Eastern Federal University campus. This year, the main theme of the forum is "The Far East: cooperation for peace and prosperity."
