Putin appoints Alexei Yerkhov as new Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan
Russian President Vladimir Putin has relieved Alexei Yerkhov of his duties as Russian ambassador to Turkey. The relevant decree was posted on September 5 on the official Internet portal for the publication of legal acts.
"To release Alexey Vladimirovich Yerkhov from his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Turkey," the article says.
Putin also relieved Oleg Malginov of his duties as the Russian ambassador to Uzbekistan. Yerkhov will take over this position.
