PSB and KRDV have agreed on the development of the Far East and the Arctic

PSB Bank and the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at the socio-economic development of the Far Eastern region and the land territories of the Arctic zone. The agreement for the WEF-2025 was signed by Dmitry Makeev, Deputy Chairman of the PSB, and Nikolai Zapryagaev, General Director of the KRDV.

"The Far East and the Arctic are of strategic importance for Russia's development, and PSB will continue to invest in social projects and the transformation of the banking market in these regions of priority for the country," said Makeev. According to him, joint initiatives will cover areas related to increasing the availability of banking services, housing development, and support for small and medium-sized businesses.

In particular, the parties agreed on the further development of the banking infrastructure and the introduction of modern financial technologies. The bank and the corporation will also expand the business lending system and implement infrastructure projects, including through the use of public-private partnership mechanisms. In addition, the parties will focus on increasing the level of financial literacy of residents of the regions.

"We aim to provide comprehensive support to investors operating in the preferential regimes of the Far East and the Arctic, including assistance in attracting financing," Zapryagaev said. He stressed that cooperation with the PSB will make it possible to offer profitable financial products and programs to the residents of the macroregion.
