The first SJ-100 aircraft, assembled using serial technologies, made its maiden flight in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The car spent about an hour in the air. This was announced on September 5 by the Rostec press service.

The aircraft was built by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) using new domestic systems and assemblies as part of an import substitution program. Special attention was paid to the installation of Russian PD-8 engines manufactured by the United Engine Corporation (UEC).

The modifications also affected the airframe, which was required to install Russian systems and simplify the production process and maintenance of the aircraft. All changes were certified jointly with the aviation authorities and the Federal Air Transport Agency, which made it possible to start production of aircraft according to serial design documentation.

The new SJ-100 is being assembled at an aircraft factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The plant was equipped with new domestic machines and installations. In particular, aircraft assembly is now carried out at the Russian stand.

"The certification process is still ongoing, but the aircraft has already been mass-produced, in the target form that is planned for delivery. We remind you that the machine has received an updated fuselage and dozens of new systems and assemblies to replace foreign ones," Rostec said.

It is specified that 24 serial machines in various degrees of readiness are currently in production at the plant.

"This confirms that Russia continues to be an aircraft manufacturing power capable of creating modern aircraft both in international cooperation and without the participation of foreign partners," Rostec added.
