The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the destruction of the Swedish Archer self-propelled guns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its zone

Calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of a separate special forces battalion of the 51st Army of the Southern Military District (SE) destroyed a Swedish-made Archer self-propelled artillery system belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area. This was announced on September 5 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The self-propelled guns of the Ukrainian militants disguised themselves in a forest belt and fired at the assault units of the Russian army advancing into the depths of the Ukrainian defense. During the reconnaissance, the firing position of the installation was discovered," the ministry said.

It is noted that the loss of equipment has reduced the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to support its infantry on the line of combat contact. The enemy also lost the opportunity to strike at the advancing Russian troops.

"We took off with three calculations, found the target in landing. The first [calculation] is working, the second is carrying out objective control," said the UAV operator with the call sign Cherkess.

A day earlier, the Russian military, using the Iskander tactical missile system (OTRK), destroyed a training and launch site for long-range drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region. It is specified that during the operation, 10 militants and eight enemy vehicles with UAV launchers were eliminated.
