Gref stated the need to localize critical technologies

The head of Sberbank, German Gref, stated the need to localize critical technologies and build a reliable partnership with the countries of the global South. He stated this on September 5 at a press conference at the Eastern Economic Forum - 2025 (WEF-2025).

"The current trend is towards deglobalization and building a multipolar world, so we need, of course, to try to localize critical technologies internally. Where we cannot do it ourselves, we need to do it with reliable partners from China and the countries of the global south," Gref explained.
