The inclusion of a clause on mutual protection of assets from freezing in Russia's international treaties was initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. This was announced on September 5 by Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum 2025 (WEF 2025) at the session "Freedom of Entrepreneurship in Russia: development of state mechanisms to protect and support business."
