North Korean leader Kim Jong-un completed a visit to China and left Beijing by special train, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on September 5.
The farewell ceremony was attended by senior representatives of the Chinese Communist Party, including Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Beijing Mayor Yin Yun.
"I express my gratitude to the Chinese party and government for their sincerity and efforts to ensure the success of the visit," Kim Jong—un said, wishing China "endless prosperity and well-being of the people."
According to KCNA, the visit was a "historic opportunity to strengthen political trust and strategic cooperation" between the DPRK and China.
Earlier, on September 4, during a visit to Beijing, Kim Jong-un told Chinese President Xi Jinping that the DPRK was ready to support China and protect its sovereignty, territories and development interests. It was noted that the leaders of the countries will also hold talks at the House of National Assemblies.
