The American company Anthropic will stop selling artificial intelligence (AI) services to companies owned by China. This was reported on September 4 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.

"Anthropic will stop selling artificial intelligence services to companies that are majority owned by Chinese organizations," the publication said.

It is noted that such a measure will be taken to ensure the security of the United States in the field of AI technologies. According to the FT, China is seizing the opportunity to use American technology for military purposes.

"We are taking measures to close the loophole that allows Chinese companies to access advanced artificial intelligence technologies," said the head of the company.

According to the publication, this policy will also apply not only to China, but also to Russia, Iran and the DPRK.

Earlier, on August 12, it was reported that the Chinese authorities called on local companies to refrain from using H20 processors from the American company Nvidia, especially in the public sector. There is no direct ban on the use of H20 in China. Local technology companies want to get these processors that work well in AI applications.
