Since the beginning of the year, 2.2 million water quality tests have been conducted in Moscow. This was announced on Thursday, September 4, by Peter Biryukov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping.

According to him, now the condition of the capital's water is assessed by the maximum possible number of physical, chemical and biological indicators — there are 200 in total. Monitoring is carried out at all stages of water movement: from water sources to water treatment plants and the distribution network. From January to August of this year, specialists performed over 2.2 million tests, writes RT.

Biryukov recalled that Moscow consumes almost 3 million cubic meters of water every day, and the length of water supply networks is about 13 thousand kilometers. Water treatment is carried out at four stations — Severnaya, Vostochnaya, Zapadnaya and Rublevskaya, writes Moscow 24.

According to him, the devices record changes in the main indicators of water composition around the clock, and the data from them is fed into a single information system, which allows for rapid adjustment of technological treatment modes. The conducted studies confirm the compliance of the water supplied to the homes of Muscovites with all standards, the Moscow City News agency reports.
