Coach Gladilin spoke about the result of the match between Russia and Jordan
The draw of the Russian national team in a friendly match with Jordan (0-0) does not matter much, says former Spartak football player and coach of the Legends of Russia team Valery Gladilin. He told about it on September 4.
According to him, the main task of the game was to review the lineup, not the score.
"A worthy and good opponent. It's no coincidence that they qualified for the World Cup. I think it's a normal result: we could have won, but we could have missed," Gladilin said in an interview withГазета.Ru ".
He noted that coach Valery Karpin gathered the best players of the Russian championship, excluding foreign players, and tested new combinations. "It's good that they started to find a common language in the same team. So I liked the game, the result is not so important here," the specialist added.
The Russian national team failed to score for the first time in 17 matches, but extended the unbeaten streak under Karpin's leadership to 18 meetings.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that a friendly match between the Russian national team and the Asian Cup finalist Jordan was held in Moscow at the Lukoil Arena stadium. It was noted that three Russian athletes received yellow cards. Kirill Glebov, 19, made his debut for the Russian national team, replacing Mostovoy in the 62nd minute.
